The EXL Consulting & Advisory Practice is seeking to hire a contractual Finance Analyst, Payroll to join our team.

The Finance Analyst, Payroll role is a fully remote temp role with a project duration expectancy of 6+ months.
The Finance team provides a broad range of timely, accurate, relevant, and objective financial information, advice, and services to its business partners, with commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards. What you’ll do

We’re looking for an Analyst to join our team focused on reconciliation, accounting, taxation, and management of the Firm’s US compensation / payrolls. We’re looking for someone with the capacity to develop professionally and build leadership skills to assume increased responsibilities in the department over time. Specifically, you will:
  • Preparation and review of semi-monthly multi-state domestic payroll
  • Assist in the analysis of domestic taxes and W2 reporting to ensure compliance to regulation
  • to ensure reporting and calculation accuracy and that all deadlines are met
  • Review and identification of changes in taxes and social charges; work with external tax experts to verify appropriate treatment by local vendors
  • Prepare analysis, management reporting, and analysis for ad-hoc requests to support the strategic goals of the business
  • Work with software vendors in the implementation of system updates
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close process by performing balance sheet reconciliations, identification and explanation of variances and preparation of journal entries
  • Work alongside a team of experienced professionals and receive on the job training
What is needed to succeed
  • Have to payroll compensation for some of the top leading professionals in the industry excellent attention to detail with a process-oriented approach to payroll compensation for some of the top leading professionals in the industry
  • Be able to efficiently analyze sizeable amounts of data and work with the technology team to identify opportunities where improvement is essential
  • to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • with knowledge of VLOOKUP’s, sum ifs and pivot tables
  • The ability to and work effectively under pressure excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • One or more years of finance and accounting experience in a corporate finance and/or accounting environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
