Position Scope/Summary:
  • Follow Standard Work for Operations Lead on a daily basis
  • Execute on direction from VS Supervisor with designated operational team
  • Demonstrate energy, courage, openness and leadership with team to build the trust and respect required for high levels of productivity to be achieved
  • Execute manufacturing plans to meet or exceed requirements consistently within regular work hours
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance to Quality System, cGMPs and all other regulatory requirements as a model to the team you lead
  • Provide support and help to team as needed to achieve the production schedule required
Position Requirements:
  • Follow standard work for Operations Leads daily
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned area of responsibility ensuring safety and quality standards are met and production standards achieved
  • Partner with assigned Process Improvement Technician to drive process and equipment knowledge, cost improvements, better defined routings and technical training
  • Support management with the implementation of new policies and procedures. Hold team members and self-accountable for compliance to all
  • Provide explanation and follow up resolutions to daily labor variances making recommendations for improvement when appropriate
  • Work closely and daily with production planning to follow job schedule and assign staff to jobs based on training and experience. Recommend overtime to management as required to ensure job schedule is complete on time. Target schedule adherence is 98%.
  • Update visual factory boards and ensure operators update their portions daily
  • Operate full range of inspection equipment and other related measuring devices
  • Insure that staff follows all processes and instructions as dictated by work orders and quality procedures
  • Complete safety, quality, and continuous improvement audits as required
  • Operate production equipment as business necessitates.
  • Perform other duties, as necessary
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Technical or vocational schooling preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years company related work experience and/or 4+ years’ experience operating machinery in a regulated manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred. Proficient with basic mathematical operations.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Special Skills: Ability to work with small precision parts.
  • Specialized Knowledge: In depth knowledge of drawings and blueprints with ability to interpret information.
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment
