Job Summary

The Taproom Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of supplies to optimize profits and ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

Essential Functions

Primary responsibilities include assisting the General Manager in:

• Recruiting, training, and motivating staff
• Delegating duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources
• Setting and monitoring quality and service standards for staff
• Communicating and exemplifying company policy, standards, and procedures to staff
• Ensuring staff operate within company policies with adherence to safety standards
• Introducing new crew members to their working areas, rules, and regulations
• Ensuring adherence to cash management and stock control procedures
• Ensuring point-of-sale system functionality and assisting others in operation of POS
• Monitoring and ordering supplies with regard to monetary constraints
• Handling deliveries (ordering, receiving, processing, entering, stocking, etc.)
• Making certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct
• Checking stock is correctly rotated and stored to reduce waste
• Monitoring cleanliness and hygiene of restaurant
• Overseeing the bar merchandise display to maximize functionality and attractiveness
• Monitoring and maintaining the condition of all consumables (food, drinks, garnishes, etc.)
• Overseeing certain kitchen tasks and cultivating a functional relationship with kitchen staff and leadership
• Promoting, practicing, and enforcing compliance with fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations
• Dealing with difficult customers & resolving customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Organizing promotional activities

Additional Functions

• Keeps the General Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e., problems, unusual matters of significance, and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action
• Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with Playalinda Brewing Company policies and procedures
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/ effectiveness
• Finalizing bar and server schedules while working with bar managers and Human Resources support
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Educational Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years on the job experience
• State approved Food Manager Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Frequently washing own hands and manual dexterity

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
