Join our Human Resources team to help support our various talent acquisition functions throughout our nationwide locations. Syska Hennessy Group provides specialized consulting, engineering, and commissioning services for clients worldwide. Our staff provides consulting services throughout the project lifecycle, helping to plan, design, build and operate technically superior facilities.

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for open positions. This person must understand, model, and represent the company's business needs. They will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential "fit" through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing process and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will provide support to the TA function of the firm for a variety of recruiting related functions. This role may also support other areas of the Human Resources department, as needed.

Primary Recruiting focus:

  • Consult with Talent Acquisition Manager and hiring managers on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate
  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates in alignment with the Syska brand
  • Posting jobs to niche sites and affinity organizations using Applicant Tracking System (ATS) - (Greenhouse)
  • Screen and classify entry-level resumes by referencing knock out questions
  • Schedule video and onsite interviews, assuring candidates receive the necessary interview details for a positive candidate experience
  • Liaise with local office coordinators for various office locations to coordinate all logistical details for interviews
  • Assist with drafting offer letters and initiating background checks
  • Experience working with multiple hiring managers required
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively "sell" an organization's value proposition
  • Experience with LinkedIn, working with LinkedIn Recruiter a plus
  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process for assigned requisitions to assure that protocol is followed such as submissions of scorecards after interviews
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

College Recruiting:

  • Participate in Syska's annual EDT, Intern, and College recruiting program initiatives upon obtaining leadership approvals
  • Coordinate the shipping of booths, giveaways, and materials assuring university deadlines are met

Job Requirements

  • College degree desired, emphasis in Human Resources preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 4- 7 years of experience working as a recruiter in a professional services firm
  • Experience working in the AEC space a strong plus
  • Knowledge of working within formal Recruiting Applicant Tracking and Onboarding Systems (ATS) including generating and interpreting reports is a must, experience with Greenhouse a strong plus
  • Previous experience with HRIS software is desirable, ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook for calendaring and MS Office is a requirement
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Demonstrate proactive and professional demeanor
  • Ensures completion of all tasks assigned
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and proven experience with handling multiple roles at the same time
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Personable with the ability to represent the firm with professionalism

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate's experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.

Pay range: Min $55,062 – Max: $102,486.
