Job description
The Club at 12 Oaks is a private country club with over 10 years of tradition as well as modern day country club amenities. Each Summer, our team the Torpedoes participate in the Tarheel Swimming Association League from mid-May through the end of July. Our Youth Department is currently seeking energetic, friendly, and experienced individuals to join our 2023 Coaching Staff. Accepting applications for Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles.
Candidate requirements:
- Must have experience working with children.
- Must have prior experience being a swim coach or assistant.
- Must have Lifeguard CPR Certification- preferred- or Adult & Pediatric First Aid/ CPR Certification (or be willing to get it before May 1, 2023)
- Must be able to promote, lead, teach, and conduct sessions in and out of the water.
- Must be capable of controlling a group of children and maintaining order.
- Must be able to enforce rules, act as a role model, and be spatially aware while promoting a fun and safe environment.
- Must be professional at all times.
- Must be well-spoken and an effective communicator to children, staff, management, and parents.
- Must be responsible, have integrity, and a strong work ethic.
- Experience with Swimmingly and Team Unify is a plus.
- Afternoon Practices- M-Fr (4:30-7:30pm).
- Morning Practices- M, T, TH (8:30-10am) *when school releases in June for 2 weeks*
- Minis Practice- Tuesday (ages 4-6) in June from 8:30-9:30am.
- 6 Meets on Tuesday evenings between June and July.
- First Aid, AED/CPR certified
- Must pass a complete criminal background check
