Job description
Overview:
The Collections Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of collections specialists. In this role he/she will be responsible for providing daily direction and communication to the collections department ensuring duties are performed in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner. This position is also responsible for analyzing areas of opportunity from a strategic and operational level, and driving to fruition. Ability to work independently and effectively with little supervision is key for this role.
- Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Provide manager with detailed information regarding rep attendance (i.e.: daily absences, tardies, requests for time off);
- Track and provides feedback to manager regarding inbound call percentages.
- Includes monitoring inbound calls and making sure that adequate coverage is available.
- Continually evaluates processes and procedures for team.
- Provide feedback to manager regarding general rep performance and personnel issues.
- Assist in hiring and training of new employees.
- Insure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
- Coordinate necessary schedules for rotating duties.
- Use excellent customer service skills, timely follow-up, and follow through when dealing with direct reports and the entire management team.
- Deliver written and oral communication to all levels of management to provide updates and roll out new and existing reporting.
- Conducts employee evaluations, maintains personnel records and performance manage staff.
- Make recommendations regarding disciplinary action of personnel as necessary.
- Develop, implement and promote staff education opportunities that offer professional development and skill enhancement.
- Ensure that team members meet daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables in a timely manner; Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must have ability to work independently and effectively with little supervision.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated ability for problem-solving.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Must have strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Able to interact within a team environment.
- Aramark Uniform Service Collections (Desired).
- RAS Operating System (Desired)
- Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
- Experience:
- 4-6 years accounting experience; 2 + years of collections and/or customer service (preferred).
- Managerial experience with a staff of 25+ .
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Combination of work experience and education is accepted.
