The City of Shoreline is seeking a Recreation and Cultural Services Superintendent who is excited and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the Shoreline community. Shoreline is a vibrant, growing community with a full breadth of recreation and cultural services offerings. This position acts as a leader in delivering those services to residents both internally and alongside community partners.
The Superintendent directs, manages, supervises and coordinates all facets of the City’s recreation program and cultural services activities and leads the Recreation and Cultural Services Division of the Recreation, Cultural and Community Services Department. Areas of oversight include special events, facility rentals, public art, aquatics and recreation; to identify and define City-wide recreation and cultural services needs for citizens; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments, outside agencies and the general public; and to provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Recreation, Cultural and Community Services Director in long range planning and implementation strategy development.
