Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the golf course maintenance and operation, ensuring the course is well-manicured and presented in excellent playing condition. The Superintendent will lead a team of maintenance personnel and coordinate with golf course management to ensure the course meets and exceeds member and guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and bunker maintenance.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the course is maintained to the highest standards.
- Supervise and train the maintenance staff, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Ensure the proper and safe use of chemicals and fertilizers, and maintain accurate records of applications.
- Monitor and manage the irrigation system to ensure efficient water use and optimal playing conditions.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, and provide accurate and timely financial reports.
- Collaborate with golf course management to plan and execute special events and tournaments, and provide expert advice on course setup and maintenance.
- Communicate regularly with members and guests, responding promptly and professionally to their needs and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in golf course maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and turf management.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team, and work collaboratively with golf course management.
- Strong organizational, financial, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a pesticide applicator's license.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,500.00 - $75,500.00 per year
