TITLE: Drysdale Student Center Summer Fitness Associate
REPORTS TO: Director of Campus Recreation; Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation
REMUNERATION: Wage as set by University of Lynchburg at $12.00 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as primary contact for Drysdale Student Center functions and operations at the Hornet Hub Information Desk. Oversee the daily operations of the Game and Fitness Room.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Fitness/Game Room Desk
- Greet and sign in all fitness center and game room users and guests collecting ID cards, backpacks, etc., and distributing towels and equipment as requested.
- Respond to all questions regarding the fitness center including any group fitness classes offered throughout the day as well as game room activities and events.
- Report any misuse of equipment to the supervisor and complete incident statements as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the game room, fitness center, and fitness studio, including laundry of towels, equipment, and overall facility.
- Submit work orders in a timely fashion for any broken or non-functioning equipment to the Director of Campus Recreation.
- Assist in general operations of the fitness center and game room including, answering telephone calls, responding to requests and assisting guests with equipment operations (as necessary and needed) and providing clerical support to Director of Campus Recreation and/or Graduate Assistant for Drysdale Center Operations.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full-time undergraduate student (at least 12 credits) with a 2.5 QPA and in good standing with the University.
- Experience with customer service, knowledge and use of fitness equipment preferred ability to use multiple computer systems required.
