The summer school bus driver will have a morning route and drop off at the elementary and Jr/Sr high. They will also drive an afternoon route that will consist of K-12 students. The summer hours run from 6:30 am- 9:00 am and 12:00- 2:00 pm Monday- Thursday starting June 5 and concluding July 20. There is a one week break the week of July 1.
Required Professional Preparation and Experience:
- Commercial driver’s license
- Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
- Ability to carry out assigned route on time
Preferred Professional Preparation and Experience:
- Additional chauffeur’s license
Major Responsibilities:
- Transport children and other passengers to and from school and school-related events.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times.
- Ensure the safety of all students.
- Verify permissions for children who ride.
- Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
- Discipline children as needed to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.
- Attend safety meetings as required.
