Tacoma Walmart Subway is looking for an experienced Subway Manager who is outgoing, customer-oriented, quick on their feet, and able to communicate effectively. The Subway Manager must have open availability, be on time for their shifts, and lead staff by positive role-modeling.

Position Summary:

The Subway Manager supervises daily operations to ensure food safety, product preparation, cleanliness, and inventory control are maintained. The ability to provide an exceptional in-store customer experience for guests is expected.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:

- Manages 4 to 6 staff members. Assigns and evaluates their work. This position will make recommendations for promotion or termination.

- Responds to customer feedback and complaints. Ensures customer satisfaction is prioritized.

- Coordinates and supervises staff to ensure food safety as well as operational standards are met.

- Coordinates with staff to ensure product is prepped correctly with limited waste.

- Coordinates with staff to maintain restaurant cleanliness as per Subway requirements.

- Performs paperwork duties such as taking inventory, completing weekly inventory and sales reports, reviewing and correcting control sheets, and uploading inventory and deliveries into the POS.

- Completes the weekly order, staying within budget and ensuring required products are on hand.

- Coordinates and assembles catering orders according to instructions.

- Manages quarterly Subway promotions, including ensuring menu boards and promotional displays are installed in a timely manner, and staff are trained in new Subway sandwich builds and promotions.

- Develops weekly work schedules, ensuring hours do not exceed maximum allowance and scheduling according to restaurant coverage needs. Ensures staff clock out early if business traffic warrants it.

- Completes University of Subway courses in a timely manner as assigned.

Requirements/Pre-requisites:

Education : High School diploma or equivalent

Experience and Skills: Experience in restaurant operations (preferably Subway) with a minimum of 1 year experience in a management position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to deal effectively with any level of staff and outside parties. Must be able to work any area of the restaurant. Must have experience using a POS system/cash register. Must be able to do math, read reports, and complete corrective actions.

Physical : This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must be able to lift 10 pounds and frequently up to 30 pounds.
