BHCSA was founded on one principle, to prepare capable students for college. The founding board wanted something better for its community. Though there were many challenges, they helped make that dream a reality. The dream to adequately prepare students for college is the root of why we are all here.

Fast forward to today! We are looking for individuals who want to make an impact on the kids in Benton Harbor. Experienced teachers, new teachers who are just beginning their careers, and career changers who are entering the classroom after succeeding in another profession, are encouraged to apply to educate and care for the students at our school. We need you to help us reimagine education in our community!

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Preferred Valid Elementary Michigan teaching certificate with ZA endorsement.
• Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education required
• Demonstrated competence as an educator.
• Computer literate with excellent verbal and written expression.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Works well in a collaborative environment.
• Passion for environmental education preferred.
