MLE (www.madebymle.com) is a women's accessory company based in downtown Saugerties. We proudly integrate the artistry of old-world techniques with modern designs and contemporary subject matters. Recurring themes within the MLE brand reference female empowerment and sustainability, with signature pops of color and bold details to create statement pieces.

Many of our pieces are made-to-order in an effort to operate as sustainably as possible.

We are searching for a part-time sample maker and experienced sewer to assist with sample and order production for fabric and/or leather based accessories. This is an ongoing opportunity, with work available a minimum of 1-3 days per week, at with 4-8 hours of work each day.

Our work environment includes:

Please note this role requires some work on site at MLE's headquarters in downtown Saugerties, New York, at least 1 day a week to review new designs and confirm the production quality. Work may also be done offsite at the candidate & company's discretions if you have an independent studio set up.

Tasks will include:

• drafting or adjusting patterns
• cutting and ironing fabric
• sewing cotton and silk with an industrial machine and serger
• cutting, stitching, and riveting leather
• setting up and running an embroidery machine to embroider fabric details
