We are seeking Stick and Mig Welder to join our team.

AFC-Holcroft located in Wixom, MI, is the largest North American heat treat equipment manufacturer, and is interested in candidates for long-term career opportunities in the capital equipment sector. Responsibilities:
Overall, the Pipe Fitter is responsible for layout and general piping of water, pneumatic and gas control components used on capital equipment machinery as well as installation and piping of controls of these systems.

· Pipe welding

· Ability to troubleshoot controls and systems.

· Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints

· Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed when needed

· Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters.

· High regard for safety standards

· Review scope documents, drawings, and specifications.

· Participate in team building activities.

• Maintain strict adherence to the policies set forth in the QC manual.

• Follow oral and written directions.

• Work within company policy as outlined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, Safety Manual.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications/ Experience Required:

Must have High School Diploma

Knowledge of SMAW/GMAW (Stick and Mig Welding)

Must have knowledge of piping tools and machines used in manufacturing including setting break press and Shear.
Must be proficient in installation of threaded pipe and bending tube
3 years of experience as Pipe Fitter
Must have working command of the English language and be able to effectively communicate
Knowledge of combustion systems will be a plus
