Staff Psychologist- Child and Family Services
The Staff Psychologist is responsible to provide direct psychological services which may include psychological evaluations and other direct clinical services to individual clients, groups and families. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings/staffings as assigned. Provide assessments in other departments when appropriate. Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare reports as required. May provide supervision to subordinate staff/students.
Perform psychological evaluations for diagnostic or treatment planning purposes using appropriate testing devices; select, administer, score and interpret psychological tests. Provide counseling for individuals, groups, or families. Participate in screenings or other intake assessment activities as assigned. Provide evaluations for Family Court or other agencies as assigned. Provide crisis counseling/evaluations when indicated. Provide clinical services in accordance with managed care regulations when indicated and obtain managed care referrals as needed. Provide consultation/education related to specialty area for other staff as indicated. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and prepare periodic reports as required. Establish and maintain effective relationships with Division staff, other service providers, and the community at large. Person centered treatment planning is provided including collaterals as necessary. Record documentation will need all regulatory requirements.
PhD in clinical or counseling, psychology. Current NYS license as a psychologist. Five years experience post-licensure preferred.
