Job Summary
Fletcher-Reinhardt Company is a full-line electric utility distributor with our headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri and additional locations in Illinois and Iowa. As a family and woman owned business, we strive to cultivate a genuine culture that translates to a dependable and respected reputation to our vendors and customers. As our company grows, we are looking for a motivated and eager staff engineer to join our team. Initial responsibilities will focus on project management, training, and support of the apparatus we sell manufactured by Eaton/Cooper Power Systems and FLIR. Moderate travel will be required to support our sales representatives and pursue marketing objectives. Travel will consist of approximately 20-40 trips per year lasting 2-4 days per trip to visit customers, job sites, and branch offices.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other Fletcher-Reinhardt team members for proper application of material
- Demonstrate technical and product knowledge to best assist customer in product selection
- Assist Fletcher-Reinhardt Sales Representatives with technical questions
- Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email
- Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
- Act as the subject matter expert on electric utility products
- Accurately document customers records using automated systems
- Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- PC proficiency using PC based applications
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on power systems
- Electric utility experience along with comprehensive knowledge of vectors, phase-angles, and power-factor
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineering Certificate within 5 years
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
