Become a Sr Specialist Bus Ops Analyst [REMOTE] at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This position is within the TP&D arm of Design Strategy & Performance (DS&P). TP&D works across all Planning fields and locations in Distribution to include Planning Supervisors, District and Regional Managers, Senior and Principal managers, and Directors. Collaborate with Strategic partners in Training, Human Resources/Talent Acquisition, Information Technology, Transportation Services Department, and Corporate Real Estate. The successful candidate will support TP&D for the creation, maintenance and implementation of pivotal initiatives, Program management and Staffing oversite, tracking, and support.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze, capture, and format data for validation and review to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Data analysis for newly implemented Planning positions.
  • Pull quarterly attrition report and analyze output to make recommendations which feed into staffing plans/strategy.

Resource Staffing & Support

  • Oversee Planning Staffing work by maintaining and updating planning HAF templates.
  • Validation and review for all Planning Staffing requests based on resource needs and staffing strategy alignment.
  • Tracking Development Assignments, Staffing requests, Design Development/Training rosters, newly implemented position staffing tracking and report out.

Program and Project Support.

  • Support TP&D Advisors in program management, and various initiatives such as planning career progression, efficiency gain analysis, Planning Development Program strategy.
  • Lead and implement small projects of various Planning and DS&P initiatives.
  • Support the Planning development and training programs, i.e. Field Tech training, Planner training, etc…
  • Support Planner Rotation Program, i.e. assisting in logistics, soliciting applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with leaders for additional tasks.
Qualifications


The essentials

  • Five or more years of experience in an analytical function with program and project support experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

The preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Experience researching information and performing data analysis using software tools (i.e. SAS, Power BI, Access, etc.) to generate and edit complex reports, graphs, and databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, executing deliverables on a timely manner, and presenting result.
  • Ability to develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, while managing risks and safety appropriately.
  • Demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SCE Distribution Design, Distribution Construction Activities, and /or Distribution Planning roles.
