About the Role:

Windstream’s team of Kinetic Wholesale Sales Engineers are vital team members who provide technical sales support for all services sold by Windstream’s Kinetic Carrier Network Solutions team.

What You’ll Do:

• Aid in the development of network solutions for Kinetic Carrier Network customers to include analyzing customer needs, providing technical support on RFPs/RFIs and presenting solutions to customers.
• Identify and create technical client-centric solutions involving network designs, topology, access, POP locations and maps.
• Assist with solutions involving fiber builds.
• Serve as technical liaison between Kinetic Carrier Network Solutions team and Windstream internal support groups (ICSC, Network Planning and Engineering, Service Delivery, Network Operations, Pricing, Product Development and Legal).
• Design and present cost-effective proposals and solutions based on designs of the client’s current network environment and technical and business requirements.
  
• Coordinate network interconnection with Kinetic Carrier Network customers by interfacing with Windstream network planning and engineering personnel.
• Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of Windstream network, products and services and relevant related industry communication technologies.
• Support company wide sales by presenting technical training to new and existing Account Executives, Account Managers and Sales Support teams.
• Work with national Carrier sales teams that are focused on selling Backhaul Transport, Metro Ethernet (MAN/WAN) and Broadband services.

Do You Have?

• Skilled in use of basic and advanced computer software including Microsoft Office and Visio
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong understanding of DWDM, SONET and Ethernet technologies and application
• Ability to work autonomously and in an account team environment
• An in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines and vendor products that include Data and Wireless communications, Backhaul technologies, Converging technologies, Broadband, LTE, CPRI, Packet Wireless, RF, IP, WDM, MPLS/VPLS and LAN/WAN integration
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action
• Strong understanding of MEF terminology required, MEC-CECP 2.0 or 3.0 certification preferred
• College degree in a technical field and 7+ years of professional level experience or 11+ years professional level related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related technical experience.
