We are currently searching for a Sr. Accountant to join our growing company in Chamblee, GA. The Sr. Accountant will primarily be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the month, quarterly and end-year process, capital assets reconciliations, and fixed asset activity.
Duties:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting activities, including:
- Preparing and recording corporate journal entries; accruals, payroll, etc.
- Researching GL account activity.
- Preparing advanced balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with reconciling intercompany, including P&L, assets, liabilities, and equity.
- Identifying and executing process improvements and efficiencies.
- Preparing ad hoc reports and assisting with special projects, as requested.
- Coordinating certain close and other accounting activities with the accounting teams.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations and utilize analytical skills.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Generate well-timed and accurate financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of corporate accounting experience.
- 5-8 years of working experience as Accountant preferred.
- Advanced MS Excel and Office Suite knowledge.
- Work well in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Accounting / ERP software.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel (pivots, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to multi-task.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Positive attitude with an ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
