BayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Board-Certified Spiritual Care Coordinator who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at St. Joseph’s Hospital South. This innovative facility is specially designed to make patients and visitors as comfortable as possible during their hospital experience and offers a variety of amenities.

Responsibilities:

• The Spiritual Care Coordinator collaborates with the manager and/or director of spiritual care, hospital leadership, chaplain team, and other team members to ensure that their areas of responsibility maintain the high standards of the Spiritual Care department.
• The coordinator assumes advanced responsibilities for the organization of their designated areas in collaboration with the manager and director. The coordinator seeks to ensure that patient care is prioritized.
• The coordinator attends hospital and/or departmental huddle, first focus or other meetings, as designated, on behalf of the department, to ensure that regulatory standards for the area/department are maintained.
• Spiritual Care Coordinators may assume responsibility for assisting in scheduling of chaplain coverage as directed.
• The coordinator may assume management of volunteer coordination and student coordination/mentoring/orientation for their area/hospital.

Required:

• Coordinator must be Board-Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Neshma Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC).
• An Ecclesiastical or Faith Group Endorsement.
• 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education.

For this role we are looking for a candidate with 3 years' experience in healthcare and a master's degree in theology or divinity. Leadership experience preferred.
