Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a reputable school near Gilroy, California. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language therapy services to students who have communication disorders, language delays, or speech impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies for improving communication skills
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
- Stay updated with current research and best practices in the field of speech language pathology
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
