The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ caring for both the Pediatric and Geriatric populations. We are looking for a devoted and caring Speech Language Pathologist to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other departments and the Rehab Department
  • Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation
  • Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments
  • Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions
  • Offer treatments that help improve patient’s speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate
  • Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system
  • Will treat both geriatric and pediatric population (mentorship/training available if requested/interested)

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) therapy program- new grads welcome!
  • Current state licensure
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn quickly
  • Dept of education certified in NJ preferred
  • Background/experience in Geriatric (specifically a Skilled Nursing Facility) and Pediatric population preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and ability levels
  • Creative problem solving skills
