Job Summary: Vocovision has partnered with a school district in Pennsylvania looking for a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to work remotely for the remainder of this school year and next school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing special education services to students with various disabilities and ensuring that their academic and social-emotional needs are met.

Requirements:

Current Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education
Master's degree in special education or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a special education teacher
Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504
Experience with remote teaching and virtual learning platforms (preferred but not required)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technology to facilitate virtual teaching

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student in the caseload.
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of special education settings (e.g., inclusion, resource, self-contained).
Collaborate with general education teachers and other school staff to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the general education curriculum.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and to address any concerns they may have.
Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school meetings as required.
