- Systems architects are responsible for the design and implementation of complex systems.
- They work with a wide range of stakeholders—including software developers, project managers, business analysts, and other system architects—to determine how best to build and implement these systems.
- The system architect shall create documentation such as design specifications and design rationale.
- Shall conduct research on emerging technologies that could impact the system being designed.
- Develop a conceptual model of how users will interact with the system, including how data will be stored and processed.
- Recommend new technology solutions to meet business goals and objectives.
- Review existing systems to determine how they can be improved or updated.
- Work with designers to create system diagrams showing how components of the system work together.
- Determine hardware and software specifications for the system being designed.
