Your team will be…
Building an enterprise wide cloud native, web scale platform and the tooling that surrounds it, that will be adopted by engineering teams across various business units within DISH- Build & Manage advanced AWS services like SSO, Organization, Service Catalog, Step Functions, Account Factory, Control Tower - Landing Zone
- Driving a customer centric, highly personalized approach to the evolution of our platform
- Continuing our efforts to realize a robust hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Designing and building service catalog, software templates, developer portal offering to enable self service
- Enabling the core platform services for our organization to consume – AWS, Kubernetes, service discovery, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, etc
- Maintain, and optimize cloud platform hosting massive, complex systems for performance, security, reliability and scalability
- Innovate automation capabilities in the cloud platform and create new feature sets as per the application patterns for hosting in cloud
- Helping application development, operations, testing, delivering software in an agile environment, continuously. Supporting infrastructure teams realize what being “cloud native” is all about

Highly motivated, driven & hard working- Not afraid to fail
- Able to visualize, design and implement platform solutions and tools at the enterprise level
- In depth knowledge of AWS platform and services, e.g., S3, Lambda, Step functions, SQS, SNS, etc.
- In depth knowledge of AWS Networking services and architecture
- In depth knowledge of DevOps pipeline and necessary tools, e.g., Gitlab, JFrog, etc
- Experienced with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform within GitOps framework
- Knowledge of emerging technologies - curious to experiment and build proof of concepts
- A team player. We have a great group of diverse folks working together in harmony. Big egos and “super heroes” need not apply.
- Experience work in regulated environments - PCI and CPNI in particular
- Provide guidance to engineering teams on development standards, automation, and tools
- Able to lead by example - we are looking for folks that can design and build. Hands on experience is a key to success
Basic Requirements:
A successful Senior Platform Architect will:
- Be available to work onsite out of our American Fork, UT or Englewood, CO offices
- Have a 4-year college degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, master’s degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Have 7+ years of professional enterprise development, operations, SRE, platform, and/or infrastructure experience
- Have experience building and managing large, highly available enterprise grade platforms

Salary Range: USD $115500.00 - $165000.00 / Year
