PPT Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Software Safety Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama.

Job Overview for the Software Safety Analyst:

This position will be located in the customer project office. Conducts software system safety evaluations for DoD systems. Supports software system requirements identification and development process by evaluating and assessing planning, design, development, production, and operations for DoD software systems architectures. Prepares and writes formal Systems Safety Hazard Analysis Reports to categorize and summarize all potential software-hardware interaction hazards.

Performs software safety-critical and mission-critical systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support. Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain successful daily interaction with customer and teammates. Operates proactively with ability to handle significant responsibility, and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications for the Software Safety Analyst:

• Must be a US citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
• ABET accredited BS in Computer Engineering
• Experience developing embedded mission critical software in C, C++, or ADA
• Familiarity with software development/lifecycle IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498
• Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and/or Failure Mode, Effects & Critically Analysis (FMECA)
• Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516, DO-178, MIL-STD-882, JSSSEH, AMCOM Regulation 385-17, SAE ARP 4761, or similar software safety standards
• Knowledge of the integration and verification of large systems
  

Desired Qualifications for the Software Safety Analyst:

• Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis
• Experience with Model Based Software Development
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink, Rhapsody, DOORS, SCADE, etc.
