Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified School Social Worker to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct services to students, conducting individual and group counseling, and collaborating with staff and families to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to students in the areas of counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, personal, and social issues
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to provide a comprehensive system of support for students
- Assist in the development and implementation of academic and behavioral interventions
- Participate in the evaluation and identification of students with special needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation of all services provided
- Attend team and department meetings as required
Requirements:
- Active IL license as a School Social Worker (please provide with submission)
- Active PEL (Professional Educator License) (please provide with submission)
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and community agencies
- Demonstrated ability to provide counseling and support services to diverse student populations
