PAC is seeking a Part-Time Substance Abuse Treatment Social Worker (SATSW) to work in a positive work environment with a team of supportive professionals. The SATSW is responsible for managing a case load of candidates undergoing mental and chemical health rehabilitation and working to assist clients in obtaining resources needed for successful, lasting recovery.

Essential Functions:

• Cultivate partnerships and connections to community resources, including medical providers and insurance, housing, medication resources, social services, and support groups
• Facilitate substance use and mental health service referrals, as detailed by the client's medical provider, comprehensive assessment, or treatment plan.
• Advocate for clients in treatment follow-up, disease management, and education services, including working with families, probation, and social workers to develop transition and contingency plans
• Treat clients through individual sessions weekly or as needed

• Facilitate client activities and psychoeducational groups
• Document clients' transitional plans and treatment coordination services in a timely manner

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
• Understanding of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, ethnicity, and cultures.

• Ability to work, plan, organize, and evaluate work in alignment with company values, goals, policies and procedures
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team

Required qualifications:

• Minnesota Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or the ability to obtain a Temporary License.

Job Type: Part-time, up to 29 hours a week available. Flexible scheduling available during hours of business: M-F between 7:30am to 5:00pm.

Pay: $25.00 to $27.50/hour based on experience
