The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a leading not-for-profit located in Nassau County. CEC assists adults diagnosed with mental illness in reaching the highest level of independence with the freedom to ASPIRE HIGHER in their hopes, dreams and accomplishments. We have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in an OMH/OASAS outpatient clinic setting.

In this position, you will:

• Conduct assessments and all aspects of psychotherapy with individuals, families, couples or groups according to caseload assigned
• Work with patients to develop and achieve treatment goals and change goals as needed
• Attend supervisory sessions as scheduled and demonstrate motivation for learning and willingness to take direction
• Attend weekly social work meetings, participating actively in the process and assuming responsibility for rotating presentations
• Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding your patients - as necessary and appropriate in the service of quality treatment

We require:

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work or Creative Arts Therapy or licensed CASAC
• NYS licensed Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker. Limited permits welcome.
• Bilingual a plus.

Up to 10 hours per week. We will work with your schedule.
