What would I be doing?:
The Slot Technical Supervisor is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of the slot machines and the supervision of the Slot Technicians on designated shift. Assist in establishing company policy relative to the slot technical operation. Maintain two-way communication with team members to ensure awareness of new policies and procedures. Maintain a high-degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external guests. Be responsible for the supervision and the development of the technical personnel. Administrate polices and procedures in conformity with the State Gaming Commission and Ameristar Casino, Inc.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in hiring and retention of slot department technical team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and timeliness standards established by the property/department.
  • Responsible for meeting guest’s needs or getting them in contact with the appropriate personnel for beverage service, snacks, request for comps, or capping machines.
  • Issue timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offering development guidelines and resources to achieve goals and improve performance.
  • Progressively coach slot team members not meeting departmental expectations up to and including suspension pending management review.
  • Adhere to slot department policies and procedures.
  • Must be proficient in the repair, maintenance, and general operating condition of the slot machines.
  • Assist in the entry of slot moves, conversions, and edits into the slot accounting system as well as auditing the slot floor for accuracy.
  • Must be productive with regards to the installation and removal of slot machines.
  • Must be able to perform slot machine conversions, moves and/or changes with little or no direct supervisions required
  • Safeguard company assets.
  • Give direction to slot technicians as needed.
  • Oversee and assist in the installation and removal of slot machines.
  • Give input into scheduling and labor.
  • May assist in the duties of the bench technician.
  • Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
  • This is a uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and propriatary information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Ameristar Casinos
  • Foster and maintain positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of player tracking system.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and setup progressive signs.
  • Attend all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
  • Be familiar with the safe handling of cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
