Shipping and Receiving Technician
Responsibilities

• Responsible for order fulfillment for the Wet Lab shipping, including pulling and checking orders accurately
• Responsible for shipping orders for the Wet Lab and Dry Lab, and for receiving orders for the facility
• Preparing Wet Lab and Dry Lab shipping paperwork, packing orders, and preparing necessary paperwork is daily responsibility
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining shipping supplies for the Wet Lab and Dry Lab, to ensure adequate inventory level is always maintained
• Responsible for receiving materials for the facility and ensuring approval forms are given to the proper personnel
• Organizes the warehouse to ensure shipping supplies are properly stored in their designated areas
• Responsible for recycling cardboard and trash removal
• Performs other functions and duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher education
• Knowledge of DOT and IATA regulations a plus
• Experience with computers and proficient typing skills
• Experience with NetSuite, FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Office is preferred
• Shipping experience with FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers
• Experience with handling forklifts, hand trucks, and dollies

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a laboratory environment; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to carry, push, and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight; to operate office, warehouse, and laboratory equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
