We are seeking shipping and receiving associates that like working in smaller facilities where employees are valued, recognized, and have time outside of work for after school activities and a home life. Are you an organized individual that takes pride in their work? Our material handlers should be detail oriented as you will be working with life saving materials. You will be handling materials related to fire safety at this manufacturing facility. Reliability, and pride in your work will be key as we are making products that help save lives.

Job Summary for Shipping and Receiving Associate:

Shipping and Receiving Associates are responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received. Accuracy will be important in this position.

Essential duties for Shipping and Receiving Associate:

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Receives items for shipment, inspects visually for identity, quantity, and condition. Checks for obvious damage and segregates items requiring special handling.
• Opens containers as directed by work instructions or supervisor.
• Shipping and Receiving Associates will complete receiving and shipping documents accurately and completely per company specifications with the scan gun.
• Ensures proper identification. Identifies all shipments by proper marking and labeling, including special handling instructions.
• Pack and unpack boxes as needed for orders.
• Operates machinery such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.

Qualifications for Shipping and Receiving Associates:

• Previous shipping experience is required.
• Previous experience with RF scanning guns

Other skills and abilities for Shipping and Receiving Associates:

• Ability to read and write English is required.

Physical demands for Shipping and Receiving Associates:

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day
• Must be able frequently to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
