SERVICE TECHNICIAN / Manufacturing Machinery (Metal)
Job description
Established Portland (metro area), Oregon based company is seeking a Service Technician for Metal Fabrication Machinery.
This individual will troubleshoot, repair, perform preventive maintenance and install metal cutting/bending/forming production/fabrication machinery throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Occasionally we provide this same service to customers in Alaska and Hawaii.

* Machinery Types – Press Brakes, Shears, Saws, and Ironworkers
You will be knowledgeable or at least familiar with; electrical/electronics (ability to read schematics and use a multi-meter) basic hydraulics and have a strong mechanical aptitude.
It is considered a plus if you have had exposure to or are acquainted with the operation or operational theory of these types of machines and others commonly used in the metal fabrication industry.
Safety/Situational awareness and the ability to interact and communicate (excellent customer service skills) with manufacturing production managers, owners and machine operators is a requirement.
Service truck and tools supplied. Excellent team support provided at the home office level.
Overnight Travel may require either air w/rental car or straight drive time. Regular wage and overtime rules apply to travel time. We have been successful getting our technicians home every Friday.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
