Overview:
The Service Shop Associate will provide world class customer service through the Scheels service shop as well as find and purchase parts, check in equipment for repair, along with assist customers when picking up their equipment once repaired. Applicants should possess a great personality and have a strong desire to assist customers.

- Assist in growth of labor sales through quality and efficient service as well as light assembly of customer and store equipment
- Equipment may include snowblowers, lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws and other merchandise in the Scheels Home and Hardware store
- Maintain accurate and detailed records for store and customer equipment
- Execute proper ordering of parts for customers needs
- Assist in maintaining a clean and professional environment
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
- Ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays and scheduled training meetings
- Must be at least age 18
- High School diploma or General Education Degree(GED), one to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong mechanical ability preferred, but not necessary
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
Very heavy work – Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury
Schedule:
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 8a.m. and 7p.m., Monday through Friday, 8a.m. and 6p.m. Saturday, and 12p.m. and 5p.m., Sunday. Daytime availability Monday - Friday is preferred. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 28 - 40 hours. We are interested in Part - time or Full - time Applicants.
