Position Summary:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Schedule work in and out of the shop
• Hire, supervise and direct all service technicians and apprentices as approved by Dealer Principal
• Ensure that all parts, tools and appropriate time is available for technicians to complete the work
• Directs and Supervise Service Desk Personnel with training and coaching mentality
• Directs and Supervise Parts Manager and personnel and assist in proper parts procedures and policies
• Directs and supervise Warranty Administrator to process warranty claims in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that all employees under their supervision receive the proper training and upgrading of systems.
• Liaison between service advisors and Sales Management
• Must acquire approval from sales department on all Internal RO’S
• Track Technician Productivity
• Track Open Repair Order Reports and others as directed
• Responsible for a profitable operation of the service department while gaining maximum production under controllable costs
• Setting and maintaining profit goals.
• Leads by example.
• Maintains a balance between shop efficiency, labor rates, and expenses
• Assists the Service Advisors in the dispatch of work to correct technicians and or work with the shop foreman to do the same
• Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the service department and shop
• All other duties as assigned
