Pay Rate: $20-$30 an Hour DOE
Job Responsibilities:
- Operates back-hoe to dig trenches for installation of septic tanks and drain lines for sewage disposal system: Reads blueprints to determine location of septic tank and drainpipes
- Operates back-hoe to dig and refill trenches for septic tank and tile drainpipes and to transfer crushed rock or gravel to provide drainage base for pipes
- Lowers septic tank into excavation, using back-hoe as hoist
- Directs workers engaged in spreading crushed rock and gravel, in laying tile drainpipe, and in connecting drainpipes to branch sewers
- Ability to perform all plumbing repairs and replacements to code
- Must know and adhere to all state plumbing codes
- Must comply with all safety standards and process
- Follow OSHA safety standards and that team members are safe and conscious at all times
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
- Cover pipes with earth or other materials
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating
layouts - Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue
- Cut pipes to required lengths
- Install or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systems
- Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels
- Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating
layouts with supervisors - Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools
- Operate mechanized equipment, such as pickup trucks, rollers, tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, or backhoes
- Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, using magnetic or radio indicators
- Train or supervise others in Septic Tank installs
- Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices
- Ability to perform calculations necessary for plumbing work as well as invoicing purposes
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Must be comfortable asking and taking customer payments
- Train, coach and mentor apprentices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Williamson County License
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- A minimum four years of experience preferred but not required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse plumbing service issues.
- A valid driver’s license and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
- Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Function in a team environment.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
