This is an internal position for our Tax Risk team Professional Practice’s team. This position is ideal for tax specialists who want to expand their technical tax review skills outside of the traditional compliance role and build a career in an internal tax field. Remote work is allowed for this opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.

What you will do:
- Provide tax risk management through the inspection process.
- Prepare Policy and Procedure and Technical inspections across all offices
- Identify area of training as a result of inspection metrics.
- Learn tax law.
- Develop recommendations as a result of inspection metrics and share with leadership to discuss and strategize
- Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals
- Enjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business
- CPA or CPA eligible a plus
- Two (2) plus years of experience with tax compliance and reviewing.
- Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of project management, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and adaptability
- Attention to detail while focusing on policies and procedures.
- Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
- Ability to modify their schedule on a daily/weekly basis as tax developments occur
