About the role
- Onsite Electrical personnel to support onsite Construction Administrative services and to supervise the construction process of these trades during the installation of all critical systems.
- The selected individuals should have extensive field knowledge and a full understanding of the critical electrical and mechanical systems that are to be installed in a typical data center. They should be familiar with industry standard installation practices for systems they will be leading all aspects of.
- Daily monitoring of all electrical installations during the construction phase of the client's data center building.
- Provide daily reports to onsite construction administrating engineer for development of weekly punch list.
- Provide advance notice of potential issues that would or could become problematic over the course of the installations.
- Provide support and guidance as needed to help support the installation of the electrical systems to avoid future issues. This should be communicated to both the on-site CA, the Owner and the General Contractor.
- Work with the owners commissioning agents to ensure contractors commissioning practices are up to industry standards.
- Help lead Lvl4 Commissioning activities with General Contractor and subcontractor trades to meet owners requirements.
- Verify SCAAF study is accurately implemented into all systems of the building.
- Verify installation of all electrical equipment supplied by the owner and by the general contractor is installed per codes and industry standards.
- Verify schedule on a weekly basis for tracking listed activities and advise the owner of discrepancies.
- Candidates should have a proven understanding of systems and installation practices.
- Candidates should be able to verify installation is tracking per the published schedule.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University preferred in a technical area of study. Minimum four years of related experience and/or training.
- Licensed Electrician prefered
- PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
