This is an exciting opportunity in Auburn Hills, MI for a Senior Program Engineering Manager.

Summary:
Responsible for e-Axle new product development with emphasis on accelerating the development cycle, transition to production, and early production support. Working closely with Engineering Departments to successfully deliver results to customers to achieve program delivery and performance requirements. The Senior Program Engineering Manager will utilize exceptional communication and planning skills to manage programs with a technical focus while applying good business acumen.
Responsibilities:
Define the project objectives with teams, managers and product engineering primary responsible individuals
Plan project schedules including required resources based on program deliverables and implement by deadlines
Communicate with internal/external customers and work with functional areas such as Product Engineering, Operations and Quality to ensure customer needs are addressed and targets are met
Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
Facilitate the process of ensuring that all customer requests/questions are addressed in a timely manner
Liaison with supplier and sub-contractors involved with assigned programs
Evaluate and develop technical proposals, reports and presentations
Responsible for developing and using reports to track status of projects ensuring on-time and on-spec. execution
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Minimum 8 years’ experience of Product Development
Familiar with manufacturing environment and including project management, customer interaction, with a focus on continuous improvement
Able to perform a variety of complex tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
