Summary:

Vivint is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join its Home Platform Team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for delivering a strategic vision for the future of Smart Home Platform. You will help build a roadmap for a scalable, secure, and agile Home Platform (Software Infrastructure) that enables smart home experiences through our cloud, app, embedded, and infrastructure. You'll partner closely with engineering to drive key KPIs for Platform performance and business growth.

Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, this role reports to Vivint, Inc., 3401 Ashton Blvd., Lehi, UT 84043.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the scoping, development, and launch of platform initiatives.
• Develop and drive the vision for one or more platform product areas within Vivint’s platform infrastructure portfolio.
• Collaborate with platform architects and engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet the demands of the business.
• Represent the platform team in cross-functional planning session.
• Use strong communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate with other teams to ensure product opportunities are valuable to customers, viable for the business, and technically feasible.
• Write clear and concise user stories and requirements, prioritizing development items to align with the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, program, and Quality Assurance to ensure delivery against product roadmap.
• Identify and resolve risks and issues that might otherwise derail projects.
• Build and maintain relationships across organization.
• Monitor product performance and proactively identify opportunities for platform improvements.

• Decisive, and able to eloquently defend your decisions

Required Education/Experience:

• Relevant work experience with defining and delivering Saas products and/or software services
• Demonstrates deep commitment to solving customer problems and empathy for the consumer
• Well versed in the technical aspects of building Software products and infrastructure
• Works well with others to support shared goals
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
