Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in the network engineering domain.
- Experience configuring data center and service provider routers, switches, firewalls.
- Experience in networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, Multicast, ISIS/OSPF, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, 802.1x).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with metrics, forecasting, planning, and developing organizational roadmaps and direction.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.

In this role, you will collaborate with Network Automation Engineers and see the designs from start-to-finish ensuring that designs arrive fully supported, validated, and observable. You will work closely in delivering network designs that connect private kubernetes clusters to the data center, and then, those data centers securely to the world.

Responsibilities
- Drive the engineering design, solution development, and functional and requirement analysis related to planning, design, installation, and implementation of Google Distributed Cloud Hosted (GDCH) infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership for complex projects to increase stability of the network, enhance scalability, efficiency and quality of network deployments.
- Produce analysis, efficiency and stability improvements, help in building roadmaps, scoping and planning at regional and global level.
- Assist team in consulting with our customers options available from our service catalog and provide feedback into Network Engineering, Automation and Operations organizations for future service enhancements to meet our customer’s needs.
- Ensure delivery of multi-vendor networks across various platforms and technologies. Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to design, build and turn deployments to operations.
