The Certified IT Administrator (LAN/WAN) position will serve as a Senior Network Administrator in the IT Division. This position will be reporting to the Assistant Director of the Network Services Team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, CISCO switch infrastructure, LAN/WAN, On-boarding/Off-boarding Active Directory accounts, Citrix/remote computing, F5 Load Balancer, Exchange Server, SAN, server hardware, software, OS support, patching backups, and related applications. Responsible for overseeing the installation and administration of switches, routers, CSU/DSU, Firewalls, and other network equipment sufficient for the needs of each office location. Ensure the reliability of the complex and diverse networks and applications utilized by the agency's divisions 24/7 across multiple office locations within the boroughs of New York City, delegating work assignments appropriately. Facilitate special projects and initiatives when needed. Perform ongoing maintenance, diagnostic, and troubleshooting of the agency's network. Create, document, and implement network architecture. Maintain network systems, find effective resolutions for network failures, monitor the agency's network system's performance requirement, and implement strategies to improve network operations.
Minimum Qual Requirements
Professional/vendor certification(s) in local area network administration that is required for the position to be filled. In addition, all candidates must have the following:
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in local area network and/or wide area network planning, design, configuration, installation, implementation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management; or
2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) information technology experience of which at least 2 years must have been as described in "1" or
3. A satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. Education may be substituted for experience on the basis that 30 undergraduate semester credits from an accredited college is equivalent to 6 months of experience. A master’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college may be substitute for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have at least one year of satisfactory (not classroom based) full-time information technology experience as described in "1" above.
Note: In addition to meeting the minimum Qualification Requirements: Incumbents may be required to update existing and/or obtain additional professional industry-standard certification(s) for current and future technical environments(s) in which they may be assigned to work, as determined by the employing agency.

Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience working with IT Functional teams.
2+ years of Vendor management.
5+ years of Asset Management in a medium/large IT environment.
Strong working knowledge of F5 load balancers
Strong working knowledge of Cisco (switches, routers and VOIP)
Experience with Cisco DNA Center, ISE, StealthWatch and Cisco-Meraki Cloud Wi-Fi solution, a plus.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Cisco CCNA certification a plus.
