Job Description:

This Sr Leadership & Employee Development (LED) Facilitator invests in the future of Southwest’s People in their delivery of courses for Leaders cross the Enterprise. This role works collaboratively with Teams and Leaders within Talent & Leadership Development, Southwest University (our internal Training Department), and Senior Leaders in order to best understand, advise, and champion a Culture of development. This Sr LED Facilitator is passionate about connecting with and advocating for our People. They’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in their own expertise each day, and they’ll help to pilot the future of development at Southwest Airlines.

Additional details:
This role is offered as a regional workplace position and Employees must work in the region they support. This could require working from a mix of on-site Company facilities and remote based offices to perform the job function in a regional location determined by business need. Each Department will provide Employees with guidance on when and where presence is required with as much notice as reasonably possible .
Please note, while this is a regional position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.

Job Summary:
Provide Legendary Customer Service when delivering training. Provide feedback on curriculum and training materials. Assist in maintaining and revising training material. Serve as a resource on policies and procedures for frontline Employees. Train and support multiple Leadership and Employee topics. Subject matter expertise. Mentor other Team Members to achieve high performance and promote Southwest Culture.
Responsibilities
Facilitate classes
Perform administrative tasks including classroom setup, duplication and distribution of materials, etc.
Conduct classroom observations with the goal of ensuring that Instructors follow curriculum design and observe student engagement
Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, Team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
Provide coaching to class participants and feedback to their respective Leaders
Assist with and/or leads special projects
Conduct Train the Trainer activities
Comply with all necessary paperwork, curriculum, and training materials associated with training program
Accurately represent content to all Customers
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Skilled in coaching and development
Ability to mentor Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Classroom instruction or facilitation
Public speaking

Preferred: Experience in leading people/teams
Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and video/messaging platforms (i.e. Teams, Webex, Adobe Connect, Zoom, etc.)

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be able to travel 10% of time

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $92,950 per year to $103,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
