As a Senior HSE Engineer at Phoenix Engines site, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Environmental & Safety leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations
  • Management and continual improvement of Environmental programs including wastewater, hazardous waste, air emissions and storm water compliance.
  • Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement as an integrated business partner to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone
  • Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training
  • Deploy and manage environmental initiatives to continually improve performance of Environmental programs and processes
  • Develop and implement environmental and safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements
  • Oversight and project management of environmental capital projects

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Min 5 years of HSE program management experience

  • HSE program/project development, implementation and management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of local and Federal Environmental regulations
  • Professional certifications such as CHMM or CSP
  • HSE Project management experience

  • Strong communication skills
