WHAT TO EXPECT

Located in our Downtown Denver office, we are looking for a Senior BI/Reporting Developer experienced in data warehousing concepts. Developer will be engaged in implementing sound enterprise BI reporting applications using BI tools such as IBM Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI in a global reporting environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both working directly with business users globally to design and create sound reporting solutions as well as working closely with other members of the BI team to design overall BI solutions. Candidate will also participate in global training of users as well as mentoring team members on BI reporting solutions and architecture.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test reporting solutions per business requirements, following the Gates development standards and best practices as well as participate in code peer reviews to ensure our applications comply with best practices
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and reporting solutions
  • Provide ongoing administration and support in BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau and/or Power BI) using SDLC best practices as well as assist with software patching and upgrades
  • Provide BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau and/or Power BI) training to business users globally
  • Provide troubleshooting of report and data issues
  • Work closely with onshore and offshore application development teams
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, under minimal supervision providing technical guidance to the team members



ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years of experience developing BI solutions
  • IBM Cognos, Tableau, Power BI: 4+ years of experience of development and administration (Tableau & Power BI preferred)
  • Database: 4+ years of experience using Oracle, SQL Server and/or Teradata (Teradata preferred
  • Strong Tableau and/or Power BI desktop and server administration skills on recent versions (IBM Cognos is a plus)
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to use them to understand the data to provide business reporting and analytic solutions
  • Expert knowledge in designing, developing, deploying, and administrating BI reporting solutions
  • Knowledge of the Oracle and SAP ERP platforms is desired
  • Knowledge of database technologies: Teradata, Oracle, and SAP HANA
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing and related technologies
  • Strong intrapersonal skills and global acumen necessary to work as a part of a global and diverse team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and ability to be self-motivated to continuously improve
  • Ability to promote and assert standards through effective communication while fostering successful outcomes
  • Familiarity and understanding of supply chain management processes and relevant experience in manufacturing companies
  • Knowledge of IT architectures, particularly related to Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Financial Planning & Consolidation.
