Job description

CPA firm in Northern Westchester County NY is currently seeking a full time experienced CPA to execute day to day activities for multiple clients.

This CPA will have strong knowledge of tax and accounting, and will be responsible for reviewing and preparing tax returns, extensions, estimated payments and projections, and trial balances for a high volume of clients.

Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years tax preparation experience. Partnership potential position.

Job Responsibilities

• Corporate and personal tax return preparation
• Must be detail oriented, analytical and possess good communication skills
• Expert in Intuit Proseries, Microsoft Word and Excel, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online products
• Review and reconcile bookkeeping prepared by staff or clients
• Interview clients, prepare Individual and Business tax filings independently
• Review tax returns prepared by staff
• Review payroll, sales tax, and the related informational return filings
• Payroll processing as well as quarterly and annual payroll reporting
• Qualifications and Skills
• 5-7 years Experience with Intuit ProSeries tax return program and Quickbooks is required
• Worked for a CPA firm (or similar background) doing taxes for multiple clients is required
• Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles
• Must be a critical and analytical thinker
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
• Strong time management skills and be able to follow directions
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Be willing to do what it takes to get the job done in a timely manner
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor
• At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
