We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the real estate development space. As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the books of 6+ properties. Additionally you'll have the opportunity to manage the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring proper accounting of construction loans, coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that all financial aspects of projects are properly managed. We're also in the midst of migrating our books into MRI which you'll have a chance to take part in.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the real estate development space. As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the books of 6+ properties. Additionally you'll have the opportunity to manage the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring proper accounting of construction loans, coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that all financial aspects of projects are properly managed. We're also in the midst of migrating our books into MRI which you'll have a chance to take part in.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that all financial aspects of the project are properly managed.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for construction projects.
- Prepare and review project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project costs and identify areas for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project / property accounting in the construction / real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of MRI, Yardi, Project Accounting, Property Accounting, and Quickbooks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
