RMC is hiring an Security Engineer to support our customer in San Diego, CA. The selected applicant will provide technical expertise and guidance in solving complex Information Assurance and System Security issues. The selected applicant will provide System Security Engineering support to include but not limited to:
- Assisting with the development of system security layout and architecture and IA documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable standards including RMF and DCID 6/9
- Maintaining and supporting current and ongoing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages
- Implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards
- Providing cybersecurity engineering support to systems owners, government managers, and other stakeholders to manage cyber security requirements
- Performing regular systems security scans, and maintaining records of such scans, as required by C&A guidelines.
- Responding to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) as necessary to address systems vulnerabilities
- Tracking and monitoring Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Reviewing and evaluating information technology software, hardware and networks and the overall cyber security posture of information technology systems
- Recommendations for security improvements based on advances in industry or in response to threat intelligence.
A Bachelor’s Degree and three to ten (3-10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is required. Six (6) years of additional related work experience or an Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.
An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
RMC employees may be subject to current COVID protocol requirements in order to access government facilities.
