Seasonal Line Cook/Seasonal Prep Cook
Job description
Searching for a seasonal line cook/prep cook for a busier, high volume restaurant this summer season! Knowledge of food safety regulations is a must. Starting date will be in mid-May until September with a potential for a year round position.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
