SCHEDULER/REGISTRAR

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Be responsible to schedule and reschedule all imagining procedures using the Radiology Information System

· In charge of patient registration, verification of patient demographics, reviewing pts chart to ensure accuracy and completion.

· Ensure accurate entries in RIS, and prompt scheduling of all modalities.

· Modify and update billing, clinical and appropriate information in the RIS.

· Confirm appointments and provide instructions to patients for their procedures

· Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone

• Collaborate with supervisory staff, nursing, physician s and technicians to facilitate an efficient work flow.

· Completes other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

· Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person

· Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively

· Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with providers

· Technological skills, such as using word processing and spreadsheet programs to track data

· Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed

· Bilingual a plus (Chinese speaking preferred)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
